Sarah - The Brains Behind Stapleford Doggy Day Care
“Dogs have always been a part of my family — and now they’re part of my life’s work.”
Lord & Lady Gretton had the vision to set up a Doggy Day Care five years ago, as part of diversifying the business on Stapleford Estate but also having identified a gap in the market in the area for this service. Sarah has been the driving force behind the project from its inception and is extremely proud of how it has evolved in the past six months.
Sarah has always had dogs since she was a child and has always considered them part of the family. She absolutely loves dogs and now has two adored labradors with her young family, and she takes them everywhere with her — to the office, out on errands and anywhere she goes, they go with her. The Grettons are passionate about building the Doggy Day Care business with Katy, spreading the word to introduce it to new people, taking care of marketing and social media and organising Dog Shows and Family Days for everyone to enjoy.
Katy - The Heart Behind Stapleford Doggy Day Care
Katy’s passion for dogs is unrivalled! She always dreamed of setting up a dog business and is now passionate about her role at Stapleford Doggy Daycare, where she creates the most welcoming, exciting yet calming space for dogs of all shapes and sizes.
“My journey began during my college years when I started dog walking five years ago, and I quickly realised that my love for animals was meant to be my career. Inspired by my first dog, Archie, who is now nine years old, I pour my heart into creating an exciting and nurturing environment for all the dogs who I look forward to every day. I love sharing daily photos with dog owners and on social media so that everyone can see and share in the fun.”
In addition to caring for the dogs at the daycare, Katy has five dogs of her own, and she loves the outdoors and the joyful chaos that comes with it.

Kirsti - The Skill Within Stapleford Doggy Day Care
Kirsti is the Canine Styling Specialist at Stapleford Dog Grooming.
Kirsti is IPET Qualified and has experience grooming all breeds of dogs. She can groom to a Commercial and Advanced standard, offering maintenance and breed standard trims. With a background in Canine Nutrition, Behaviour and Body Language, and being Canine First Aid trained, she is always grooming dogs with their welfare in mind, making sure they are stress-free in her care.
“I have a love for all animals, most especially dogs. I have worked with many different pets over the years, developing a vast knowledge of different breeds of dogs. This opened up a pathway to grooming dogs and I’ve been styling them ever since!
My first dog, Charmer, was my beloved partner in crime when I was a child. He taught me that all animals love unconditionally and started me on my journey to working with animals. My current dog, Merlin, taught me that respecting boundaries is just as important as love!”
Stapleford Doggy Day Care offers several services including Puppy Grooming, Bathing, Full Styling, Nail Trimming, Handstripping, Deshedding and Puppy Grooming. Any specific requests for styling are also welcome. All dogs will leave feeling fresh and looking their best!

Your dog will be cared for by our experienced staff, led by Katy, and supported by Sarah and Kirsti. All team members are passionate about dog wellbeing and have the qualifications to ensure high standards of care and safety.
Is your grooming team qualified?
Yes. Katy is certified in Canine First Aid and Canine Behaviour. She can work with all breeds and offers both commercial and breed-standard styles.
How do I know my dog will be comfortable?
We start with a free half-day trial where your dog is gently introduced to the environment, our team, and other dogs. This allows us to assess compatibility and ensure a happy fit.
Can I meet the team before booking?
Absolutely. We encourage all new clients to visit the facility, meet Katy who will show you round and explain how the day works and get a feel for our environment before booking.
